How to care

 

Acrylic prostheses

 

  • we recommend cleaning your acrylic eye prosthesis every 2 weeks
  • it suffices to remove the prosthesis and wash it with a ph-neutral shampoo (eg. Baby shampoo)
  • after that rinse your acrylic prosthesis in lukewarm water
  • if you don’t wear your prosthesis, store it in a dry box
  • acrylic eye prostheses should be polished yearly by a specialist to refresh the surface
  • acrylic eye prostheses should be exchanged/made new after five years
